WELBEING HEALTH CHECK AT BUTTY VAN

Diane Breeze, South Shropshire Community Wellbeing Outreach Officer, has confirmed that the Full CVD health checks that have been very popular at the Butty Van & Livestock Markets at to be resumed. She said, "We are very grateful for the support of Paul (Trenberth) and his team and the farmers and rural families for their continued support. It is very much appreciated, we couldn't do this without you."

A CVD health check is a comprehensive assessment to evaluate risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks and strokes, and diabetes and cholesterol assessments . The initial consultation takes approximately twenty minutes. The check includes a physical examination, blood pressure reading and a chat about lifestyle which helps to inform on lowering the risk of cardiovascular issues.

The programme is run by South Shropshire Partnerships, Community Led Support & Engagement, Public Health Department.
